A horrifying announcement was just made about DACA that has conservatives everywhere fuming.

A new Quinnipiac University poll has revealed that a majority of Americans says that Republicans will be held responsible if Congress fails to resolve the fate of the so-called Dreamers by the looming deadline of March 5. The Hill reported that 58 percent of those polled say Republicans would shoulder the blame if lawmakers cannot reach an agreement to codify the protections for recipients of the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

The poll also stated that just 26 percent said Democrats should be blamed if a DACA deal isn’t reached. The vast majority of Democrats polled, 86 percent, said Republican lawmakers would be to blame. Meanwhile, 57 percent of GOP respondents said they would fault Democratic lawmakers, the poll found.

President Donald Trump has been vocal about blaming Democrats for the failure to reach a DACA resolution.

“Negotiations on DACA have begun. Republicans want to make a deal and Democrats say they want to make a deal,” Trump wrote, according to Politico. “Wouldn’t it be great if we could finally, after so many years, solve the DACA puzzle. This will be our last chance, there will never be another opportunity! March 5th.”

“Any deal on DACA that does not include STRONG border security and the desperately needed WALL is a total waste of time,” Trump wrote on Twitter earlier this week.
